Learn New Skills and Enhance Your Home: CBS Bahamas' Workshop Series is Back!

Calling all DIYers and Professionals! We at CBS Bahamas & the CBS PROstore are thrilled to announce the third edition of our Workshop Series. This exciting series, in partnership with MGM Construction, will offer FREE hands-on learning opportunities for the community.

Returning after a brief hiatus, the Spring Workshop Series will run bi-weekly from March 16th to April 13th at the CBS PROstore on Robinson Road. The three exciting sessions will focus on:

  • March 16th: Drywall Installation
  • March 30th: Roofing & Shingles Application
  • April 13th: Carpentry Basics

All sessions will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Space is limited to 25 participants per session, so register early to secure your spot!

Why Attend?

  • Learn from the best: Gain valuable insights from a renowned expert in the construction industry.
  • Develop new skills: Enhance your DIY capabilities and tackle building and renovation projects with confidence.
  • Free to attend: Learn valuable information without breaking the bank!
  • Connect with the community: Network with other DIY enthusiasts and industry professionals.
  • Support a local business: Learn new skills while supporting a Bahamian company dedicated to empowering the community.

This event is perfect for:

  • DIYers looking to tackle home improvement projects with confidence.
  • Industry professionals seeking to refine their existing skills.
  • Anyone interested in learning valuable skills in a fun and informative setting.

Beyond providing practical skills, the workshops offer an opportunity to connect with industry professionals. Mike Morley from MGM Construction will lead the sessions, sharing his extensive expertise with participants.

A Quick Look-Back

The CBS PROstore, located on Robinson Road,  serves as the perfect venue for the workshops. This location not only caters to contractors, industry professionals, and DIYers specifically, but it also holds historical significance to the company as the original location where CBS began its journey.

A Glimpse Into The Future

Because this is such a great opportunity, all of the spots have sadly filled up. But don’t get too discouraged! While we currently keep group sizes intimate at 25 attendees, we have ambitious plans for the future. We envision expanding our workshops to accommodate more participants by adding new instructors to the team, allowing us to reach a wider audience.

Our ultimate goal is to establish these workshops as a bi-annual community event, held in spring and fall. The increasing inquiries about future workshops confirm the growing interest and anticipation surrounding these sessions.  Furthermore, these workshops have provided a valuable platform to connect with industry professionals seeking to refine their existing skill sets, fostering a sense of community and knowledge sharing.

We can't wait to bring you more fantastic opportunities to gain valuable skills and connect with the community! Stay tuned for announcements on future workshops
