At CBS Bahamas, we value our Family Island customers just as much as everyone else, and we understand the importance of getting your packages delivered to you promptly and safely. That is why we offer a convenient and complimentary drop-off service to the inter-island Mailboat of your choice! This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about using the Mailboat to receive your CBS Bahamas purchases.

How it Works:

1. Select Your Destination Island: During checkout on our website, simply choose your destination island. Two options will appear: "Deliver to Mailboat: Potter's Cay" and "Deliver to Mailboat: Arawak Cay."  Most Mailboats leave from Potter's Cay, while only a few occasionally depart from Arawak Cay. If you're unsure which port to choose, don't worry! Select either option, and our Dispatcher will ensure the information is correctly updated for your chosen island & port.

2. Specify Your Destination: In the shipping address field, enter your final destination and preferred Mailboat. For example: "Marsh Harbour, Abaco via M/V Legacy".

3. Schedule Your Delivery: Locate the "Order Details" section and provide the mailboat's freight acceptance date. This is the date and time the boat accepts cargo for your specific port. Not sure on the drop-off date? That's okay - just choose the next available option, and we'll reschedule on our end. Please note: same-day Mailboat delivery is currently unavailable.

4. Submit Your Order: Once you've confirmed all the details, submit your order! We'll carefully pick, prep, and pack your items.

5. Order Confirmation & Updates: You'll receive an immediate order confirmation email. Throughout the process, we'll keep you informed with email updates. This includes notification if there are any unforeseen circumstances (such as the Mailboat not being in port) that may affect delivery. You'll also receive photos showing the condition of your items at the point of handoff to the Mailboat, along with a POD (Proof of Delivery) containing a signature from the Mailboat representative.

By following these simple steps, you can enjoy the convenience of having your CBS Bahamas purchases delivered directly to your Family Island through the Mailboat service of your choice!

Free Mailboat Delivery: That's right, you won't pay a dime for us to deliver your order to your chosen Mailboat company! This applies to all orders; regardless of size, weight, or contents.

Stress-Free Delivery: We are responsible for your order, and will handle everything until it's securely delivered to the Mailboat chosen.

Transparent Fees: The Mailboat itself will charge you a separate service fee at pickup/collection at the final destination. This service fee charged by the Mailboat is to cover the cost of shipping your order to your final destination. This fee will be negotiated with and payable directly to the Mailboat company at the time of collection. We unfortunately cannot provide quotes for these fees in advance.
